Mixing different name brand products?

Hello, I am looking to detail my BMW pretty soon and I had a few questions about some products. I just purchased some poorboys ssr2 and ssr1. And also nattys paste wax. I think I am also going to order some EX sealant because I heard its good on black cars. But my question is, can I mix in some ardex products with the poorboys. Like I was going to use the ssr1 first then go to the ardex #2 polish for black cars. Or is the ssr a polish and I dont need the ardex #2? Im just not sure what I need. I also have ardex gold supreme wax that I was going to use as a sealant for now and then top it with nattys. Also can all this be done by hand because I dont have a PC and I have never used one before. I will get one in the future but not right now. Thanks everyone.

Well i am not firmiliar with ardex products. When you say mixing I take it as use a non poorboy product within your regimen and not literally mixing the products in a bottle to make one. With that said here is what I would do with just the poorboys products.

SSR2
SSR1
EX
NATTYS

If you wanted to use ardex then you would need to put it in the correct order. What is the abrasivness of ardex? You can top a sealant such as EX with any carnauba in your case Nattys. Is ardex gold supreme wax a carnauba? If so i think you can top it with nattys. But just remember once you lay down a carnanuba wax then you cant add your ex becuase of bonding issues with the sealant and carnauba. Tell me more about ardex.

Well I was told about ardex products by a few guys in my area. They say its great. I asked about it on this forum and some people liked it, some people didnt, and some people never heard of it. As far as mixing the products I didnt mean mixing ardex into poorboys. I just meant substituting ardex for poorboys. Currently I have the poorboys ssr2 and ssr1, and nattys paste wax. I also have ardex #2 polish and ardex gold supreme sealant which has carnuba in it. So I was going to use the srr's to start out. But I didnt know if I would need the ardex polish after the ssr's? Are ssr's the same as a polish? Like right after the ssr's I can go to a sealant or wax or both? My idea was to use the ssr's then go to the ardex #2 polish which is for black cars, then use the ardex gold supreme sealant then top that with nattys? Right now I dont have the EX sealant so I was going to use the gold supreme instead. Let me know what you think.

You can use different product brands in different steps in the same detail. Some things may work better with it's own counterpart, but overall it shouldn't be an issue.

There are times when certain products don't go well with other products from other companies. Many folks here (including myself) do. You can always give it a try. However, never blame any of the products or companies if something doesn't look or work right.
