MicroMesh Headlight Restorer-pics

I bought the MicroMesh Headlight Restoration kit. My test subject is a very opague headlight off of a Mustang.

I used a 3.5in backer on my PC which is all I had even though the kit comes with 3in wetsand discs. Total time per headlight +/-45min.

Here are the results:

After the 2400, 3600, 4000, and 12000 wetsand followed by the included polish

I wasn't happy with the results so I followed with Menzerna IP, FP, and PO85RD to see what would happen

It finished it off nicely but not as good as I would have liked. In close up, you can see the sanding pattern.

I guess it is cheaper than buying new headlights:

The final turnout looks great.

I definately would've started around 800 and go to 12000. Follow that with PG then FPII.

I agree with ZaneO. When I wetsanded the lights on my truck I started around 600 and worked my way up. Regardless it's a big improvement
