I only have a spot light or work light to polish my car with and i dont have money to get a stand alone model yet any ideas on how i should u se this light?
 
have u had experance with this does it hold up i read on of the reviews that the light bulbs keep blowing and should i upgrade to 1000w bulbs or is 500 enough?

Nuke, if you run dual 1000w bulbs (at full power) you'll be pulling enough current to blow a 15 amp breaker..... just something to think about.
 
Don't bother going to Sears, I was there the other day and the two post (500 watt each) stand is 29.99 so get it off the website. I ended up getting a setup awhile back at Lowe's for 29 and it works fine
 
I just got the Craftsman off of the Sears website for 20 bucks this week, lights are strong. The tripod is shoddy though, the plastic twist-locks don't really hold too well. I don't really mind, for 20 bucks its a good deal. Oh, and yes the light bulbs do go out quick, my father works in a factory and they have similar units using the same bulbs and they are always changing them out.
 
I think the biggest problem surrounding the bulbs isn't a low bulb life, but the filaments are EXTREMELY temperamental and if you jolt them too much they break EASILY. Just be careful when transporting them/moving them
