Lexus matte paint problems

I waxed a really nice Lexus LX with nightfall mica color code #8X5 with matte paint not even knowing that is a bad idea.
I'm looking for product reccomendations to correct my mistake
I just ordered Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Wash soap, and I'm looking at theirdetailer and spray sealant.
This SUV is a 2018 from Florida and I'm sure it sat out in the sun for sometime. The driver side door handles were faded.
Should i just clay bar it and use the detail spary from now on? Thanks guys.

I don't know nuttin' 'bout no matte Lexi, but nothing that I find about that color code indicates that was a matte finish. Are you sure the whole car isn't just faded to matte from sitting in the FL sun for 7 years?

I think your right. This is what I get for using AI  the word Matte kept poping up so.....
Ok lets start over. How can I make it look better? It seems to catch dirt as soon as you dry it and the drying cloths I have leave marks. I used Pinnacle Souveran wax but didn't really prep it.

Well, first I think you need to confirm from someone more knowledgeable than me, because once you polish matte, you never go back...or something like that.

Can you call a Lexus dealer service/body shop and ask?

If that's not matte paint but looks like it, that's pretty bad and sounds like a lot of clearcoat damage, but I guess you'd start where you normally would, a good strong wash, maybe an iron decon, clay bar/substitute, polish as necessary.

Looking online for 2018 Lexus LX 570 paint codes, they should be on the door jam vehicle information placard with the line starting "C/TR" followed by a three-number/letter "code".
From what I could see, the closest color to something resembling a matte finish was code 4U7, Satin Cashmere Metallic, but there is nothing to indicate a true matte color/finish was offered by Lexus on a LX 570.
I doubt you have a repainted vehicle either.
Look in the spare tire compartment . If that area does not match the exterior color, then yes, it MAY be repainted.
I am with Setec on his analysis; you "probably" have a badly faded and likely care-neglected LX 570 exterior that has sat outside in the intense Florida sun for most of its life and will require some serious paint correction methods IF it can be done at all. A good reputable professional detailer or body shop should be able to assess the paint exterior condition and recommend a fix to restore your paint.

If it was in my shop, first thing I would do is Measure the total paint thickness all over the vehicle.. Then, I would know if/where it may have been repainted because of body work, etc.,...
