Klasse or Platinum

Strange name, ain't it?
For all you folk who have experience with both Platinum and Klasse.....if you were to pick one over the other which would it be and why?



I've got the itch and a free weekend to take the plunge.
 
It really depends on what you want. I don't want the Platinum vs everything else debate to get started again so I would recommend doing a search on the two. There have been a lot of different views on Platinum lately but Klasse has always been pretty consistant. Personally I would say go with the Klasse and a good carnuba topper. That will give you nearly the same apperance as Platinum and would last longer. Give them a try and find out which one you like best. They are both good products. Definatly do a search on the two. There are hundreds of reviews on Klasse and some really good ones on Platinum as well.
 
be sure to prep the car first.

Dawn wash , cleaner product, swirl remover and whatever else you have on the car ...tar, bird crap...some of this takes special products to get it off....

post that are very helpful. Both products are fine, as long as the car is prep'ed correctly and to keep that way,... use a Shampoo for it ....Platinum sells in its product line and Meguires has a nice one you can buy in Target......

It's is not so simple to compare. Klasse AIO is a cleaner/sealant product, whereas Plat, BF and Zaino are multi-step products (clean, seal in different steps). If you want a product that is an EZ, no-brainer, that's Klasse AIO. If you want to get a little more technical, choose one of the multi-step products. For a single-step product, it's hard to beat Klasse AIO.

Thx folks for the response :up . Brdman, I did as you suggested and you're correct...the # of hits on the search is mind boggling :eek: .



DavidB....I wouldn't just go with AIO but would instead purchase the Klasse twins. So in that regard, it is more comparable to the Platinum UPP and Pre-Cleaner. My apologies for not specifying the twins from the start.



From what I read it seems the Platinum longevity is suspect and also that it cannot be layered. Too bad since it also seems it has about the best gloss/relectivity of them all with the possible exception being Zaino. The Klasse twins are certainly a tried and true regiment but it seems the jury is still out on Platinum. Klasse is looking like the winner more and more.
