So I decided to trade the Ford Focus in on something a bit more fun.
I started using Zaino in 1998/1999. It worked great. Their whole line is pretty good and there was a local distributor that would drop off my order of Z2, the brown prep stuff, Z6, the leather cleaner/conditioner, the car wash, tire dressing, etc... Everything was pretty good for one stop shopping. I've played with some other stuff since then like Klasse and I picked up a PC and did some light polishing work on an old car I had.
I picked up some optimum no rinse and have been pleased with the results of it. So I am looking to try new things 10 years later.
My Car
Porsche Boxster Arctic Silver with Black Leather and Black Top. 3m Bra on leading surfaces
What I have:
ONR
Some blackfire clay I never remember buying..maybe it was free?
Some of the old grout sponges (new in package)
Some of my prized PakShak MFs
303 Aerospace Protectant
The paint on the car looks pretty good, with very little swirling (I had to look very carefully, plus silver does a good job of hiding it). Definitely has some surface contamination and could use a good clay.
My PC is at my parent's house across the country, so I am not inclined to ship it around since I don't think I really need to polish at this point.
So what can I do that will look good on the silver? Easy to apply? No machine?
Raggtop for the top?
Is that blackfire clay any good or should I pitch it? I don't see any of the clays I used to use for sale anymore...
I'd like something that can be done in a few hours (shouldn't be hard for such a huge car).
I was looking at the optimum and werkstat lines...
Also: What should I use to clean/protect the 3m bra?
I like a wet look that makes the little flakes in this paint pop.
