Ok so my car is like 4 weeks old, white and I already see a few swirl marks. I do use decent stuff to detail it, MF towels (from Walmart) for now. Is it normal to have swirl marks this early? What am I doing wrong? Will glazing remove swirl marks? :notpossib

The swirl marks may have been "dealership induced." It might not even be something that you have done. I think glazing would only fill in the swirls and hide them. To remove the swirls, you need a swirl removal type product.

It is very easy to impart swirls into a brand new vehicle with the first washing/drying, especially a dark colored vehicle. If one uses a dirty/cheap wash mitt or dirty/cheap MF towels, or improper washing techniques, that can happen easy.

Glazes will sometimes hide swirls (for a short while). It is best to remove them with a good polish, and keep them to a minium.

Generally speaking, glazes won't remove much or any clear coat (depending on the specific glaze). Polishes, depending on how abrasive............... will remove some clear coat....... that's how the swirls get removed.
