How do you store your Products

Good Morning DC!

Im looking for new storage Ideas for my products! For my towels, PC, ect....

Like everyone else here I like to keep everything orginized ect. and being that 90% of my detailing products are kept in my trunk ... it tends to be difficult to keep everything orginized.

I was in the container store but didn't find anything that I thought would work.

So any help or suggestions are appreciated!
 
Before I had my garage I kept everything in storage bins in my trunk. That gets old though. It especially gets old when you have way more product than will fit in your trunk. If you get to that point then you really need shelves at home. You can still put them in storage containers, but they need to be on shelves and then you can just take what you need with you if you need to do a job. Get one of those cheap 5 or 6 shelf units that you put together and that should do the trick. What kind of space do you have at home to store stuff at? Do you have a garage you can use?
 
Garage space is dificult!

Im in the process of moving out of my parents house... and to make matters worse ...they are moving! so im trying to get as much stuff out of their house as I can!

My only saving grace is that I have 2 Trunks! the Mustang and the Sable (the mustang has about enough room for a duffel bag in the trunk) The sable has enough room to fit 4 or 5 dead bodies...(i know from experience j/k) But I will most likely be storing everything in the sable ..
 
My advice is to keep anything that could explode (car wash especially) in a seperate container from your microfibers. When I stored stuff in my trunk I would get a surprise like that every now and then. It gets hot in there in the summer and car wash, tire/wheel cleaner, and anything else in a spray bottle tends to expand and lids pop off. Keep everything upright if possible.

I store them similar to Charles except I use a container like 158 (http://www.sterilite.com/Category.html?Section=Storage&ProductCategory=39) for storing products upright. I need a couple more of them since I found this site and started buying new products. A partial roll of paper towels stuffed in will keep things from sliding around. If anything bursts/spills it will also soak up most of the mess. A few ziplock bags of towels easily fit on top.

Toolbox for the PC and pads, #1956 (or similar) for towels. I just use a bucket for regularly used products (soap, window cleaner, etc) and keep a ziplock bag with a few MF towels in the same bucket.

I wouldn't store most of the products in my trunk. If you put them in a couple plastic bins they are easy to store and retrieve when needed. Just separate what you need frequently from what you use for a full detail.

Here is the right side of my garage. I keep most of my products in the three wall cabinets. I have buckets in the lower cabinet.

Easiest solution to your situation is a trip to Wal-Mart.

I bought 4 Sterlite containers (Rubbermaid wanna-be's):
(1) small shallow container for wax, clay, applicators & small stuff
(1) tall container that'll hold sealants, polishes, glass cleaner, tire dressing, and any product with a pump-spray head
(2) large shallow containers, one for MF towels and one for PC pads.

They're translucent so you can easily see what's inside when covered and, best of all, the three large containers are stackable so they consume less garage space.
