purple power is that that stuff you buy in autozone its a stong cleaner??
Hot water?I soak mine in Oxyclean then throw them in the washer. None have come apart yet and I've been doing it a number of years, still using the same pads.
They come out much cleaner than I could get them washing by hand.
I'm still having trouble with getting sealants out. I would welcome any suggestions for that.

Hot water?
Meguiar's pads?
I have read that machine washing the original Meg's pads, (Prior to the 2.0 version), was hard on the Velcro adhesive.
It seems like the hot water would do the best job, but would also be harder on the Velcro adhesive
Try the Dawn Power Dissolver. I have yet to find something that it wouldn't get out of pads and applicators. Wear some gloves though, because it will dry your hands out big time.
