HD Uno

I was all set for the standard 205/105 Combo on my Jeep Grand Cherokee for my first attempt at polishing....however I stumbled across one or two reviews for HD Uno (one by Barry I think) and he/they seemed impressed with the product. My only concern is that I dont see any other reviews for a product that seems to be a perfect one-step alternative to the 205/105..........has anyone tried Uno and what are your thoughts?

These HD related posts seem to be popping up more and more, I guess people are finally starting to catch wind :bigups

There isn't much to be said about the product other than it IS the perfect polish. Works as advertised, can be used as a compound, polish, or finishing polish. The pad dependent nature of the product also allows you to adjust the level of cut to your liking/needs. Minimal dusting and it has one of the best work times out there, not too long and not too short.

I had no problems working with it the first time I tried it and still haven't had any. This is coming from an M105/M205 and Menzerna user. I can't stress enough that the HD line has taken over my shelves.

I should seriously post some pictures... Until then, search up tdekany. His review turned me onto this stuff in the first place and his UNO + POXY work is the wettest/slickest I've seen.

And to anyone else who happens to glance this thread: Try the HD Line!

Tell you what. I won't waste much time explaining, though i haven't used the product personally.

and follow his work as pictures speak volumes. He swears by HD Uno and uses it almost every single step just changing the pad and that's it.

I just used HD Uno for the first time last Friday on my 95 Vette. I was able to get rid of the minor swirls with just a white pad and the heavier stuff was easily corrected with an orange pad with no more than 2 hits. I'll be posting some pictures of the finish later this week. I found HD Uno easier to use than the Menzerna products I have.

:LOLOL That's funny, I purchased UNO only because of a post that tdekany put up to give it a try. I been very happy with the results, getting jobs done faster with the same results, that's a big plus IMO.

Where is the best place to get it? IE Cheapest with good customer service

Thank you to all who posted...I will be searching for Tdekany's posts! From my search, I found that buying direct from 3D is the best option...its roughly $12 a bottle for UNO so not bad at all!

I need to post more details for sure.

I use UNO on every detail. As the others have said, it can replace every single polish out there, except "sometimes" I reach for SSR3. But those details are rare and mostly spot correction.

Lookwise even UNO alone looks better to me than anything else I have ever used. Poxy is another miracle product when it comes to visual satisfaction. Very easy to use as well. While you are at it, order their APC. Another winner.

I am detailing my wife's van today and using UNO/POXY on it for the first time. She is always able to see differences in the combos I've used in the past, I can't wait to hear what she has to say about the finish today.

PS: 105/205 is a winner as well. You can't go wrong either way.

I prefer no dusting, and love the look of UNO better.

I looked through several of your details (blue XC90, Mini, Z3 etc...) the UNO followed by POXY is impressive enough that I put an order in and I'm excited to try it out. After seeing several threads about UNO being tough to remove, my question is have you run into that same issue in your experience?

Do you think UNO finishes out better than Men PO85RD?

Yes - but this is what you do - When you are finished polishing reduce the speed to 1 and go over the area again. You don;t have to do it slow. Kind of fast and you will see that the polish becomes moist again. Wipes off easy.

I use it by hand for the tough spots (door handles, spoilers, trunk lids, etc.)

You'd think that with it's long work time that it'd take forever, but in reality, it's only there as an option for more workability, it handles all the tough spots fine by hand.

Not that I'm suggesting you do a whole car by hand ;)
