Has anyone not been happy with CCS pads?

my old LC pads finally wore out and tore yesterday so im about to order some again and i know the CCS are the new style but just wondering if anyone wasn't happy with them or they were that much better



opinions! thanks
 
I have had a terrible time with the backing staying on the pads. CMA replaced one for me but I have about 6 others that the backing is coming or has come off. I use a little gorilla glue. I don't want anymore of these pads!
 
My CCS pads lasted about 2 hours of PC time... I would highly recommend against them if you are using a dual action machine. Via rotary, however, they do seem to hold up well and the green pad is my new favorite foam - the perfect mixture of cut and finish.
 
The CMA pad seems to have a design flaw...the Danase and AG CCSp ads work flawlessly....I have polished for over 5 hours with just one green pad and not a problem with a PC...on a rotary the white and green are great ...with Menzerna and Opt polishes the LC flats and CCS work the best...I have tried the Edge and they are good..but the LC have a better cut and finish up better...and do not absorb polish like the Edge pads....

i had a few of their 4" pads. it tore up pretty quick around the edges where those little holes are at.. the pad did not last very long via rotary. actually, it started tearing on the first car i did but still usuable.
 
My metabo rotary is coming in so i need some new pads.



What do you guys think is a good choice for my rotary,



The 6.5 inch Flat CCS, 7.5 inch CCS or the 8.5 inch CCS ?



Or should i try the Edge 2k System, however I never tried em' before.



Bear in mind I'm only detailing my own car. It's a black camry.



also, if it matters, i'll be using the SSR polishes.
 
mystickid -The 6.5" CCS pads have an AMAZING feel on the Metabo. I don't care for them on the PC. It's a shame to see the backing material break free long before the pad is worn. I too have had several CMA CCS pads fail, and it's disappointing. The 5" Danase pads are the ticket on the PC and they hold up very well.

So the backing material stays fine when used via Rotary?



I'm in a dillema between the CCS for my Metabo or the Edge 2000 pads?



the bad thing about the Edge 2K pads is that they only come in 6in. and 8 in. sizes for the rotary.



i'm abit confused as to what size pads will be most efficient for my Metabo?
