Harshest car wash?

If you had to buy the "strongest" or "harshest" car wash what would it be>?

I have been detailing a few cars that are not "to nice" and the bugs and tar are like years old, so what do you think is the meanist wash(like you would never use it on a car you care about)

dawn :) . I dunno? buy one of those cheapy wash n wax washes, 5 bucks a gallon. everyone says Blackfire wash is pretty harsh.

Well, if were staying in the relm of specific auto washes I would give EF Powerwash a try. I guess I also might try some of the armorall wash that came in a christmas gift I recieved (haven't used any of those products).

Strong, bottle of Dawn in a 5 gallon bucket.

Strongest, Tide.

At hand - 16 ounces of wash per gallon of water.

Armour All Car Wash concentrate is a good wash, my first car wash......

my first car wash was STP Son of a Gun! wash.... (do they even still make that stuff?)

it must've been pretty harsh, because it had almost a clay effect on all the road tar and stuff.... :scared

ProWax's Power Lift Fallout Liquid...

Their C-60 soap is pretty strong but not as strong as dawn. I think Dawn will be your best bet for a strong soap.

I don't think one soap will take care of all those problems. I washed a car covered with baked on bugs and dawn did NOT remove them. I had to come back with a bug remover. Get a bug remove and spray it on the bugs and let it soak, get a tar remove and spray it on the tar and let it soak. That should take care of those problems. Fallout, raildust, overspray, etc in/on the paint you can use a claybar to remove. You can remove all that stuff without resorting to an acid bath.

I wouln't consider those "acid baths" as car wash solutions, but rather a pre prep contamination treatment. As far as harsh, DAWN or any similar liquid detergent soap. I've used a fair share of cheap auto soaps that were faily aggressive, but some were professional detailing solutions meant for quick clean ups at detailing shops. Many of the low end OTC auto soaps focus mainly on cleaning ability rather than shine + cleaning, which makes them more agressive I suppose than something like Z7, which is my FAV!!

How about some Simple Green mixed in to a bucket of water?

I use that stuff under my wheel wells, and it eats the dirt away pretty good. I'll bet it would do good on the bugs too. You could spray some full-strength on the bugs before you wash a panel. Just don't let it dry.

Yhea but first we need to find out the long tern affect of using Simple Green on your paint. I mean, isn't it a degreaser?

I have never tried this but I wonder how well Dwan and Oxyclean would work together. Well I have tried this to wash my mf towels but not as a car wash.

Seriously, although quality stuff, Pinnacle is mighty powerful! It will take off all but the toughest carnubas, including itself.
