I was bored, and I need to change my oil soon here, so I stopped by Kragen for a case of Mobil1 15w-50. They had a few specials going that I couldn't pass up...
I've never tired Stoner Invisible Glass, but it was $4.49 a can so I picked one up. Also, apparently Scratch-X is their "product of the month" and as such it was going for $6.50 a tube. I've found this stuff handy in the past for odd scratches (one customer's car had something impact the wheel and had concentric black scratches around the wheel center, for instance) so I picked up a tube.
Then I figured I had better get something to prep my valances with, as I'm painting them next week. Picked up some 3M Bug, Tar, Adhesive, Wax, And Assorted Gooey Road Junk remover.
Lastly they had 3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compound for $8 a bottle, so I grabbed one of those, too.
I'm happy. Tomorrow I get to spend all day working the paint on a Volvo I'm detailing. I'm not sure whether to start with the Fine Cut RC or 3M FI-II MP. I suppose since the Machine Polish is less agressive I should start there, right?
