Goofing off with a new label design for Blackfire

This is a question for everyone but im sure RonK. can explain it in depth...alot of depth:o ;) ...anyway, i use the Atmos Klear de-odoriing system. It is a patented (though seems to be others like it) scentless de-odorizer that "chemicaly neutralized the odor at the source. It works pretty well but you need alot of it for really bad smells...but eventually will work. My question is my dads new Lexus LS smelled so good, and is just begining to fade. if i use the deodorizer, will it just kill the new organic bacteria (im not a genius...) letting the synthetic outgassing smell (mmmmmm) to emerge or will it kill the new car smell. Again, this may be all wrong but your help is greatly appriciated. -One of the Brads

Since I don't have a clue, tell me, what is the odor or smell that it leaves?

With ours, patented as well, the only odor you may get is that of clorine, and that is not in the product it's self, but in the water that carries the actives to the surfaces.

And that is only if excessive amounts are used, way more than required.

With the Odor Terminator, in a few warm days, all the right odors return, as the off gassing is not effected.

My Merc is 13 months old with 22,000 on it and I smoke when driving on long trips like a chimmney.

I mist the headliner, clean the ashtray, mist it and then all the other surfaces.

Since it is black with a black interior, get's damned hot in the interior. A day or so setting in the parking lot and it has the fragrance of the day it came off the line. Or so those who don't smoke and know I do, say when they ride in it.

I wish I could shed some light for you, but just don't know the product.

is good stuff. I have a sample and while the jetta doesn't have any offensive odors yet I used it on the dog. It cleaned him up nicely :).

OT is simply awesome ! I have used it to rid a new Rover of coffee smell, and a few smokers cars.

If you havent tried it you dont know what you are misssing, Removes the odor with no cover up smell...the odor is gone !

That reminds me I need to order some more...LOL

Two in a row say something posistive about old Grumpy!!

Oh, Oh, be still my beating heart.

I think I will have a cocktail or two on that one.

:bounce

The product has no added scent but the manufacturer sais it might leave a slight chlorine smell if if you use it alot as you described. Other than that, it has no added scents...just "nuetralizes" the odor.

Goofing off the last couple of days, here is the best I have come up with?

Like, dislike, suggestions?

Revision 2

Revision 3

Revision 4

Revision 5 -new-

bf3.jpg

Revision -6- New Design with ideas from both EclecTech and DLB.

Note: Going for a 'sinster' look. Label would likely be satin black with the BLACKFIRE font and the water beads being 'glossed' and perhaps raised.

Revision 7- Different water beading effect, more sparkely.

bf6.jpg

Revision 8- Added 'diamond' holograms on top of the water beads. The effect is very subtle.

Revision 9 - Cleaned up revision 8

Revision 10- 9 with white font

I like it. My only comment is that all the different fonts you used on Blackfire Wet Diamond Series II might not really be visible when it gets shrunik down to fit a bottle. That might just be wasted effort. What might show up better is a single font on the word Blackfire, similar to what you have currently for "FIRE", but with a black center instead of a white center. I hope that makes sense.

Edit--I just realized the font I was trying to describe is what you used for "BF-300".

Nice work! I like the artistic treatment of the vertical fonts.

I would remove the three "rays" coming off the car and compare to the version with the rays. Just to see which one is most dramatic and cleaner.

The words "Highly Engineered" beg the question are the other products "lowly engineered"? Is there another phrase you can use that speaks to the technology?

What does the "BF 300" mean? Is it relevant to the user? I was a bit confused since the name is "Blackfire Wet Diamond Series II"

Last, consider the package shape and make sure the prominant art is facing front so the user can see it easily.

Thanks for the feed back...

I will work on some adjustments. I will likely need to move the Wet Diamond from the side to the top (left to right).

I agree with MB Fan on his points...especially the rays.

The horizontal text font looks kind of "cheap" to me. Maybe use the same font but stretch it/space it on the horizontal so it doesn't look so cookie cutter.

And the car being a mirrored image makes the 11 backwards - that always bugs me on pictures people use for stuff.

And like wfedwar said - the different fonts on the Wet Diamond Series II is too much. With fonts, less is more usually (like using say...BFWD). :D

We are currently on Series Two Pat, no conspiracy... :(

Okay made some suggestions, let me know where to keep going... I will work at removing the rays further...

Love the fonts. Ever think of doing away with the car on the label, keeping it as basic and classy as possible. I always admired werkstat bottles for how professional and cool they look, same for swissvax products. I would have the blackfire logo, lots of black background and some of that fire and that's it on the front. No text except for the product designtaion in small letters. Then on te back list it's 3 main characteristics and instructions of course.

Either way it's classier than the current label. Todd I hope your design service aren't free!

+10000 on this, it is just a rough copy of me goofing around. The car I used was actually a Shelby Daytona that I detailed, but I only have the 'wrong' side view of it. I would take a correct photo when I travel back to this beauty in the spring.
