finally got a digital camera

I only have one pic of my engine compartment. I couldn't get a chance to take pics of the grand national but when I do I'll post it. Here's a pic of my motor. What do you think?
 
FNG, I got a Olympus C-740 Ultra Zoom. Its a new model that came out last week. Light, compact and its a 3.2 megapixel with 10x optical zoom. It's gonna take me a while to learn all the functions as this is my first camera.

FNG - I can pass on my recent research.

I had narrowed my purchase down to 3 cameras - all Canon because I want to stick to one storage media - compact flash - because I think it will win the storage war and I have a CF mp3 player and HP Jornada. I can use one in each when needed. They aren't cheap. Also Canon has a great reputation to date.

So the finalists in increasing price:

A70 (3.2 megapixal) $500 Cdn

S50 (newest 5.0 megapixal) $900 Cdn

G3 (prosumer 4.0Mp)) $1150 Cdn

I went for the S50 as it has all I need and more Mp than the more expensive G3 (probably a G4 to be out shortly)

Minor bugs with the G3 viewfinder and other very minor stuff.

The camera is AWESOME!

Get prices on the first two and see which one fits your needs.

Some people think the A70 is better than the more expensive S series.
 
Congrats on the new camera!!!:xyxthumbs You will love Canon cameras! I do have the Canon G3; it is also an awesome camera!!



Get yourself another compact flash card (Costco is a good price) at least 128 mb.

Hey thanks for the shot of my next car, LOL! Can't wait until I get the chance to pick one of those up. Nice clean engine.
