Favorite QD

Just a quick topic to find out what everyone's favorite QD is? For the last few years I have had tons of them. ONR in the QD ratio is quite good. PB, CG, NXT, AW, they are all good and serve their purpose. For me, the last two years, it has been z-8. I liked the way the surface looked afterward. That all ended yesterday. I had never used HGAS until yesterday. Menzerna's QD blew me away. It feels as though you just coated your car with FMJ. I am absolutely thrilled. Thank you local store for carrying this making it virtually OTC for us in Tampa. (properautocare is right up the road). Z-8 will still be in my arsenal, as I think it is a fine product, but not like this. The look is far superior. (subjective and IMHO). What are your guys favorite QD?

On black I really like Einszett's QD.

Its called ''Lackfinish'', but when you use it your car certainly doesn't lack finish. Did you see what I did there - sorry - I'll get my coat. :tumblewee

With carnuaba i like megs QD (maroon bottle), sucks on anything else.

With sealants...well, im still trying to figure that out.

I only want OTC QD's becuase i go through so much of it. I need to find a QD to use on EXP, AJ and UPP. As of now im using EO wipe & shine.

You're mixing up QD's and spray sealants. AW, Z8, HGAS, JW, etc are all spray sealants, not QD's, and there is a big difference IMO, as they are not used to clean the surface.

For actual QD, I like DG FC&S and Zaino Z6 as my favs. For spray sealant, AW all the way!

For general QD'ing, FK425. For instances where I want *just* cleaning I reach for something like ONR QD, FK146, or PB S&W.

Only and probably thee only QD I will use is ClearKote Quik Shine.

I may try out FK 425 since I've heard good things about it.:dance

Griot's Speed Shine, Zaino Z6, PB's S&W, Clearkote QuikShine, Adam's Detail Spray.

Other honorary mentions include Meg's NXT now that they fixed the spray nozzle, Sonus Acrylic Spritz, One Grand Show Off, Meg's #34.

fk425 but just bought zymol field glaze to try

I'll be interested to hear how you think these compare. I'd guess they're really for different situations. Think they'll start selling gallons of field glaze for <$30 anytime soon?

I really like Hi-Temp's Spray & Shine. Leaves a glossy, slick finish on anything underneath it, and it is polymer based so can be used inbetween sealant coats. It also acts like RainX on the glass, but without the drawbacks, and leaves trim with a nice shine. Very cheap as well.

I have some 425 on the way so I will compare shortly.

I used to use PB S&G and S&W for everything. But I QD so much that it got kinda pricey. I just got some CG Pro-detailer and Speed Wipe and started using it. I am really happy with both of them and they are awesome. They are just as good as the PB ones, and I like the Pro-detailer much more then the S&W. I think of it as S&W with spray wax. Leaves a super nice finish.
