I stumbled across this forum while searching for accessories for my newly purchased PC (bought some pads from CMA). This forum is a wealth of knowledge. The question I have concerns the video where you test the PC on the fender of the Porsche. You use a wool pad with what appears to be SMR (hey, i'm getting the hang of the acronyms), anyway I later read in your detailing tips not to use a wool pad on a clear coat. I'm a little confused, did the Porsche not have a clear coat? The reason I'm asking is that I have a black car (I swore I was never going to buy a black car again, this time I mean it) that has scratches and some bad etching that perhaps needs leveling. I have the various 3M products such as FI-II, PI-II & SMR. Can't use the PC yet because of the drought in the N.J. Thanks for your help.
