Does the type of paint you have matters?

I heard that if you have metallic paint instead of solid paint it is more durable and requires less maintenance. Is thiat correct?

I don't know about that one. It's new to me. I would think the clearcoat is all the same. Maybe the base is different. That's a good question.....:wha
