Detailing 1999 Porsche

Any suggestions on products or methods in detailing an Ocean Blue 1999 911. Paint is in relatively good shape. Plan was to dawn wash, clay, wash, then use PC with the following 3m Fine Cut compound followed, by either BF polish or P21 paintcleaner, then finish with BF. Have not done a porsche in some time usually BMW's, is the paint the same?

Will do after detail. Before and after pic probably won't be so dramatic as car is in pretty good shape already.

I would recommend against using dawn, there is no reason to and it is more harsh then a regular car wash soap. polishing and claying will take of any old wax.

Porsche paint is relativly easy to work with.

I have done 3 porsches this past 2 weeks, and all have been pretty easy to make look real real nice! I would recomend washing with car wash soap, not dawn, then claying during the rinse stage, then rinsing and drying. There really is no need to wash again. I have been doing it this way for about a year, and it works just fine! Then if you are going to use BF as the LSP, i would recomend sticking with it through the whole process BF polish, then BF sealant. You will be happy with the results on the blue i think!

After Corey convinced me to use BF on the 350Z, i compared it in my mind to Wolfgang, and felt they were on the same plane. Wolfgang is a little deeper, BF is slicker. Either way, i think that the BF will give you a decent finish

GOOD LUCK
