Detailed a new Acura TL today. Have to say it was in pretty ****** shape for such a new car. Filty, bugs EVERYWHERE they were like preserved on the paint, and swirled to hell.

Turned out very nice! :up

I have no idea why people buy nice cars like that and immediately start neglecting them. Bug guts will etch the plastic bumpers over time-I don't know why people just let them sit there...and Connecticut? That car probably hasn't been washed in months if there are still bug guts all over the front end.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

I think this was the first wax, the paint was so rough before I started I was shocked. Even after removing the bug guts, like you said, sometimes there were little white spots where it ate at the paint.

Oh and guys, I know my OTC the stuff sucks. I'm just waiting till it runs out :lol.

Sadly, the most dirty cars around are the BMWs, Audis, Mercedes, and Acuras. I think the cause is husbands giving these cars to them, as this case, without them realizing how much they really cost. All they want is the high end cars, but they don't realize they stick out like a sore thumb when they are discusting.

Either Mothers California Gold Carnauba Paste or Meguiar's Gold Class paste...

...or did you blend a hybrid wax?

OTC doesn't necessarily sucks. In fact there are brilliant products among them.

Heh, guess the name has been edited.

I agree, gotta love the shine of GC, and after it was reformulated even the durability doesn't suck :D I have had it last two months during a rainy fall, before detailing the car again, and it was still holding up.

That car looks much better now.
