crayon on vinyls

Deep scratch guy.
What's best way to remove etched in crayon on vinyl? I detail this 2004 Tahoe and this family kids crayoned all over on the back seat cup holder area. I tried APC, it didnt work. Any suggestion?

Ouch. Have you tried a Mr. Clean magic eraser? I haven't, so no endorsement or anything, but I've heard it's got some fantastic results.

i would try a mild degreaser as well as very hot water and a microfiber...use the water and micro first, it might help to leave it in the sun to let the vinyl get hot...if this doesnt work, try to use a soft boars hair brush.. after all crayon is non-toxic and is wax like and vinyl for the most part is durable...just dont rub to hard or you can ruin the vinyls grain.....u may notice discoloration though :(...the best would be steamer

I'd try folex or 303 cleaner/spot remover. Both would be safe for vinyl.

Truthfully, Id be amazed if either of those worked.

I had a bout with crayons on a cloth sofa last year.. my son took a red crayon and went nuts on a white sofa. After the initial panic subsided, I tried EVERYTHING I had as far as detailing products to remove it.. no luck. I tried steaming it, used an extractor.. nothing worked.

In desperation, I started looking online and found a reference on Crayola's website to using WD40. There was some technical reason there why it worked but I forget what it was but it was the only thing that removed the crayon. I went through about a can of WD40 just dousing the couch and then scrubbing the crayon off. After I got it all out, I steam cleaned the couch.
