counterweight on PC 7424? change out?

Im about to purchase a flexible backing plate, to a 6" one, now do I need to change the counterweight or can I use the same one that came with the PC? I was on autogeek, and it stated.......

The counterweight is for use with a 6� backing plate only.

And what pad size should I be using with the 6"? Or should I buy a 5" backplate and use the 6" pads??? People are saying to use a bigger pad with a smaller backplate? im confused, but thanks for helping:chuckle:
 
NO need to change it

it is sized for sandpaper not a foam polishing pad

try a search... most people dont think there is a difference
