Cerakote Rapid Ceramic Paint Sealant

I`m also trying out their new tire coating at the same time. So far applies easily, but dry/clean tires need a second coat.

Ha, who knew Cerakote had a tire coating, let us know how it works out. Not that I don`t have enough tire coating to probably last me the rest of my life.

I have so much tire coating stuff too. I`m still looking for "the one" though. Holy grail for me is applies like Armor All and lasts a month+. Spray foam lasts a month for me, but I hate the driveway puddles. I really liked Tuffshine until I got a set of tires it hated and turned them brown. Also I was having to re-apply regularly to keep the level of bling I liked. TW tire coating is OK, it almost fits the applies like AA but it really takes 2-3 applications on tires that have been deep cleaned.

So quick update, after curing, it really is very slick. On par with SnS maybe even more! Also seems a little more glossy. Some bird poop came off with zero effort.

I have found in general, misting a product onto the applicator seems more effective than misting it onto the paint.
I agree but even into the applicator you lose half the stuff with this sprayer.

Quick update, the paint looks no better on the Cerakote vs SnS. After a few rains all signs of slickness are gone. SnS is still a little slick. No magic dirt repelling properties.

The tire shine is also no better than TW Ceramic as far as durability, which is good but not revolutionary.

Summary, both solid products but not revolutionary.

So I’m not giving up yet. I tried wannafbodys tip of spraying the applicator, which helped. Then I started really wetting it down like I do with Optiseal and a MF applicator pad. That makes it go on a whole lot better. As more goes on, it seems more slick too.

Beading was also ahead of SnS after the last wash by a wide margin. This stuff has really strong beading.

Great news, Dan !
Thanks for this update !
FWIW - I have Always sprayed the Applicator and never the paint... I want as much Control, where the product goes, and into the Applicator is perfect for me..
Then I have the control over how much/little I use, to get the product on the paintwork...

You know for some products, spraying the applicator is way to go. Some products like TW SnS and ICE I like to spray on the surface to maximize their water spot removal.

Time to take one step forward, maybe one or two back. I'm going to backtrack a bit on the Tire Coating, its actually good stuff, its quickly climbing my list. I think my previous experience was due to not speding the time to get back to virgin rubber. Some changes of opinion:

+ Nice factory tire look, not over the top, perfect for cars you don't want to look like a glazed chocolate donut
+Lasts after mutliple rains. It gets dirty, but if you wash the tire, its back to a real black, not brown tire.

Below is a picture of a tire that has seen several rainstorms, been washed and dried, and nothing has been re-applied. This stuff has some serious staying power.

On the spray sealant, I'm not ready to throw it out... but Tec582 is just stealing the thunder out of anything now.
