Better than the Porter Cable?

Griot's Garage has a new, more powerful (according to their ad copy) DA buffer than the Porter Cable.

I found this on Meguiars Online in the forums. Joe, aka Superior Shine has ordered one but hasn't received it yet.

Anyone else hear about this or actually have one? Sounds like a cheaper option than the Cyclo to fill in the gap between the PC and a rotary if it is as good as Griots says it is.

time will tell... but i have a feeling that this is a "here today, gone tomorrow" type product. not to mention... the pc i bet, is built alot better. someone buy one, use it and prove me wrong! ;)

I'd just opt for a Cyclo if a PC isn't ample and you don't want/ are reluctant to use a rotary.

I guess I should have searched a few more pages. Anyway, I am interested in hearing what Joe has to say when he receives his.

The one big disadvantage I see to the Griot's vs. the PC is that the Griot's one has an inflexible backing plate. If you're willing to do without a flexible backing plate, you might as well get what I have for $45.
