Anyone recommend a place? Do local stores like Autozone/Pepboys/StraussAuto carry any good MF brands/towels?



I'd like to order online but waiting a week + for shipping is a pain.
 
Cool... I want to order now.. I pick up my black GTI on saturday and wanted to have it atleast by next saturday. I just hate placing orders...4 days later you find out its not shipped yet =)

I had great luck with shipping from yosteve.com and also pretty good from neatitems, but I hear neatitems won't be shipping towels until the 7th and now that I have both I can honestly say there is nothing like a real MT! No idea when Steve is shipping though, you may want to PM him.

Eh, wrong thread? I believe Ron once said the new Armor All formula is a PDMS resin, but nobody seemed to care...

New Product Test (for beaters of course) ? :D

I agree....once you use a good MF towel there`s no going back. Comparing terry cloth to a MF is like comparing stereo to mono. Nothing touches my finish or windows anymore but a MF. There are absolutely the greatest thing to come along since the internet.
And what you spend in shipping you save in local sales tax so the shipping almost evens out. Check out www.topoftheline.com. They also have some good prices on top quality MF and several sizes to choose from.

Depends on the towel size you want, but you could pick up some from Bed, Bath, and Beyond or similar store. The first MF towels I ever bought were from there. I've used them on my car with fine results.



They may not pass the highly refined scrutiny of the "Yo Steve Analysis Equation" but IMO, MF is MF for the most part.



The B, B & Beyond towels are 70% polyester / 30% polyamide. The TOL towels I just bought are 80/20. CMA has their towels specs on their website, IIRC.



Certainly worth a try if you want to sample some before diving in.
 
I can compare the plushness of the BBB Towel to neatitem towels. They carry several brands but the one I got was made by Excello/Kitchen Millenium. However, they lint a little bit and each batch seems to differ in quality ( I guess this applies to all brands). They don't lint like the Nicsand and the lint also is reduced from repeated washings. The pros include local availability, price ( 2 for $9.99 plus I always get $5 off $15 coupon in the mail) , plushness, and size ( 16 x 24 ). The ones I got were made in Korea and are 80/20 and the only availabale colors at my local store where white and beige. The beige seems to lint less than the white. I am trying to evaluate several brand of MF Towels and will post my findings in the Product Evaluation when I'm done.:)
 
We must have the worlds worst BBB store. I went and looked at their MF towels in a little box of 3 and they were crap. I could see through them and they actually felt rough. I think they were intended for kitchen towels.



I hope it was just the ones in my local store.



Any MF is better then no MF though, maybe?
