don't have a whole lot of time anymore to detail my cars, I will probably only use this at least 2x a year, maybe a few times more.

Anything to take note of about the harborfreight rotary? Its sounds like it had some decent reviews from people here, and has varible speeds too.

Can't beat it for the price.

Anyone know where I can get the backing plate to match my PC plate? I don't remember anymore where I got mine. I don't want to buy new pads for something I will only use 2x a year ya know!

And any tips on centering?

Well, it is a good tool. We use it for a total running time of about 4 hours/day, and it has a 2 year unlimited warranty. So when it dies, and i know it will; I get a new one. It is a little weaker than my dewalt is, but it gets the job done. For the $30 price tag, all of my guys are fine to grab it even before they grab the much heavier $200 dewalt. I definatly recommend it for someone who wants an affordable machine for occasional use, and even for the pro that will destroy it, simply because it is fully warrantied! For a backing plate, i know that Ranny sells them at www.pakshak.com. You should grab an orange pad, and some nice new towels while you are ordering too :)

do you guys know the part number for the harbor freight rotary? I would like to pick one up this summer as I may be doing some wetsanding and for $30 it doesnt sound to bad at all.
