After claying, do I have to wash the car again?

I'm almost done claying, and I was wondering if I have to wash the entire car again? There is some clay residue and lube left, but cant I just take a wet microfiber towel and go over the whole car?

If you are going to polish or if you are using a good quick detailer/clay lube you shouldn't have to. What I do is clay using one of several quick detailers and once I am done claying a panel I give it a mist of quick detailer and wipe it dry just to make sure it is clean.

I don't rewash after claying. The polish will remove and leftover residue.

Same here, plus I normally clay as a I wash. Both ONR and conventional car wash soaps have enough lubricity to allow the clay to glide over the paint.

Do you use the QD 6-8/1 ratio for your ONR lube or do you use car wash strength?

Edit: Scottwax, found a post where you indicated it was QD strength, thanks for sharing!

Pretty much what I do.

I guess it's all personal preference. For me, if i'm claying I'll be polishing as well so there's no need for me to wash the vehicle again after claying.
