Has anyone tried the product called 5 start shine? It is said to last 5 years. If you have used it how did you apply it? (Hand, PC, Orbitor)

nothing will last 5 years IMO

The industry builds itself off of repeat sales.

Do a search of the site for "5 Star Shine" and you will find quite a bit of previous discussion on the product.
It didn't really seem to trip too many triggers when it was brought up before.

Go find the best and highest SPF sunscreen that you can find and put it on your skin and then imagine what your skin would go through being outside and exposed for 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days, 5 weeks, 5 months and then for 5 years with only one application of the sunscreen. How many rains and washes would a car get in 5 years? How much pollen and bird poo? How many bugs? I know here in Florida you can get burned in 10 minutes when the UV index is high and you can still get burned in January when it is cold out. The seagulls are dropping bombs all over the place and the love bugs are insane.

A 5 year year car wax is a gimmick and the biggest pile of crap marketing I have ever heard of to get your hard earned money. Even if it did last half that long, even something as durable as clearcoat paint needs washed, polished, clayed and protected to continue looking nice. If you had a sealant on your car 1 years it would probably look awful unless it was a garage queen or a show car and in that case durability wouldn't even be an issue.

It's all about the process of keeping the paint clean, free of contamination and protected on a regular basis with a quality car wax product.

As far as application goes, the PC 7424 is my choice for applying anything that I want to apply in nice and even layers.

Thanks for the info. as continue my business I learn more and more about the products and am willing to try new producst on my own car before I try on a customers car. I just want to make sure that I get the best possible shine that I can for my customers. We deal with allot of pigeons and other native birds like sparrow, blue jay, and bird bombs can really mess things up.

Thanks for the info.
