3M Fine Cut....

I've read a lot about this product.

It has great reviews and I've never read a negative comment about it.

I'm wanting to try it on some swirls and scratches on a black, clearcoated, 3-year old car.

Is this it?

The one I have is Perfect It II Fine Cut. I got mine from a major car parts place like Pep Boys. The one you list above I beleive i saw in Walmart. Not sure what the difference between the 2 is.

yeap. my friend gave me a bottle of that stuff since she didnt need it anymore. I used it ONCE on a heavily swirled car to begin with and i never put it down. it's excellent for heavily abused paints.

Good stuff, IMO. If 3M PIII MG won't take care of the swirls, I reach for FCRC. If you work it long enough, it finishes pretty nicely, too (decent gloss, little to no hazing). Often I've gone straight to sealant/wax after using FCRC, with no finer follow-up polish required . . . this isn't always the case, though, so be prepared for a followup with something lighter if necessary.

Oh yeah...that stuff seems to take a tiny bit longer to work in also. I work it in using a PC and make sure it is almost gone before i stop.
