22" Rt-s

Threw on some black 22" American Racing RT-S this afternoon. Pictures are pretty bad, I'll have better ones when it gets nicer. Future plans are tinted tails and windows. I'd like to say it has came long way. I know this isn't the way the majority of yourlike your Jeeps, but just bare with me :D . I'm buying offroad tires for the stock rims during the winter months.

You better remove the "Trail Rated" emblem now. Sorry, IMO 22s don't look good on anything. But hey, it's your ride, and I do like the Black rims on your Black ride.

Too big for your wife's ride. Rims? On a Liberty?? What's the point? It also looks urban and latin American, if you know what I mean.

I know *exactly* what it is you mean. At least I know where you stand.:hm

I think it looks great. The tinted tails will add to the "stealth" look. Only suggestion would be to upgrade to larger brakes. Post some sun/dry pics when you get a chance!

As far as the "urban and latin American" comment goes....I'm Asian and white, but drive a 02 Escalade with 24" rims, does that make me Urban or Latin American?

 What the point of modifying any exterior, to make it look different than the average. I wanted to stand out from the average soccer mom mobile. Do you have a stick up your *** lately? I've read some of your other posts on wagons, I believe. Just because you have an older mustang, doesn't mean you have to be confined to everything inside your the cookie cutter niche.

Urban and Latin America is tacky chrome peices out of a Stylin' Concepts magazine everywhere. Black rims do not qualify, sorry :ignore:.

Nothing says Urban like chrome and wheel gap IMO:

Your car would definetly stand out in a crowd of Jeeps! I hope those wheels are locked on too! I just thing Liberty's look weird without a tire on the back:eek:

I wouldn't do it but I think it looks great. Would look especially sweet with a little drop but if you are buying off-road tires for winter I doubt you would want to do that.

So why is everyone ripping on him? While it's too high off the ground for my taste the black goes well.

Yeah that would of looked horrible. IMHO if you can lower the car a little bit so that there's more wheel in the wheel well that would look really, really good.

But seriously, why rip on him? He probably just dropped a nice chunk of change on those, and to be honest, it doesn't give me that pissed off "that's really ugly" feeling inside that I get when I see an Escalade or Hummer with the same size or bigger wheels. As a matter of fact this is one of the best looking vehicles I've ever seen that has 22" wheels.

If you do get the tail lights tinted make sure to get much higher output bulbs to compensate.

Nice stuff though!

Lookin good! Don't worry bout all the people rippin on you there are always going to be people who disagree with what you like.

Politely said. I may have to barrow this one...

I think it looks good. Is that a 2WD and can you afford to drop it maybe 1-2" all around?

It's a 4wd, there is no room to drop the front...at all. But the back could go an inch or two. I just got out of the show truck scene so I don't really want to take this one too far.

You can modify all you want to look different, but you can bet if you post it on a forum for all to see, and I don't like it, I'm going to tell you that. What do you want me to do, tell you it looks great and I love it? I think it looks horrible actually...its a Liberty on 22's with rubber bands for tires - that's my opinion on it. Why don't you finish it off with some mirror tint? If you like it great, but don't expect everyone to kiss your *** and tell you they like it. You may not like the way I communicate that, but you have to be ready when you put a picture on an Internet site.

And my Tundra has 20's, came from the factory like that, and are actually machine finish Enkei's, and not chrome. Its a fitting wheel size upgrade that doesn't scream "hey look at my wheels they're big". Wheel gap is somewhat standard on 4x4's too, even your 'trail rated' female Jeep.

Sometimes I wonder if there really should be common sense police patrolling this fine country of ours.

It would never make YOU latin or urban, but certainly if you told me you had a 97 Expedition on 26's worth more than the vehicle, it would make your RIDE latin or urban. Its all a matter of context - you're Escalade on 24's I'm sure looks great, because that size wheel is appropriate for a full size, classy SUV such as an Escalade. There's a fine line, but come on people, most have the ability to see what's done right and what's ridiculous. A Liberty on 22's is downright stupid.

And you know what I mean about the urban and latin comment, don't pretend not to. This f'n country so sensitive to this kind of crap when behind closed doors everyone says stuff thats deemed 'offensive'.

When someone says something looks ghetto - who doesn't know that indicates its cheap and poorly done? Same thing when people say "rice burner" or "riced out". Its not a knock on Asians, and doesn't make you Asian, its simply slang for what something is or how it looks. Same way people say what IROC stands for...

blackcaraddict, consider this a warning.

I think SpoiledMan hit the nail squarely on the head. Couple that with the overall insulting tone of your posts, and you've crossed the line.

You might want to quit before ending up in timeout.

Trust me, I take no offense to what other think. We've seen it many times where "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". My only comment is that people tend to say things via forums etc that you would not say face to face. I mean come on..if you met Ambrosia face to face, and he asked for your opionion, would you honestly say it looks Urban, or Latin? What if he was Latin or black? Would you say it then? I am not trying to start any type of debate or argue about anything. I'm sure we have all seen things on the street that we say things about under our breath. I've done it plenty of times. Your comment on the Expo on 26's is pretty real here in Texas....along with the overdone chrome accents. No harm no foul. Now lets get back to the job of ridding the world of swirls, micomarring, and finding that perfect finish!! :waxing:

Regards

Walter

BTW: :bigups on the Tundra. Looks good with the machined rims!

Very nice! In the town I grew up in, that was what every guy in high school was going for, regardless of race, religion, affluence, etc....

So was the drop just coils or was it bagged?
