2007 Cadillac Escalade + new ONR

2007 Cadillac Escalade. Last detailed October 7th so it's been about 4 1/2 months since it was waxed. Very dirty too, weather has been pretty horrible here except for the first 3 weeks in December. Otherwise we've had 3-4 days of rain (and a few snow storms!) during the entire time since I saw it last. Figured it would be a good test to see if the new ONR cleans as well as the old. The test versions I have tried worked well but the official product version is the one that counts. Really happy with how it makes cars look. In fact, I had been saving what little I had left of the test samples exclusively for my car! New scent too, has sort of a cherry smell, officially it is mulberry.

Obviously cleans very well and the paint has excellent slickness, you can feel it as you dry the paint. Gloss is very close to a fresh coat of Opti-Seal. My customer came out just after I finished washing it was and was going over the door jambs and her comment was "wow, you've already waxed it?" If only I was that fast! :lol

After washing it, I just added a fresh coat of Opti-Seal (which had held up nicely during this unusually nasty winter). No polishing and didn't need any claying; it is a soccer mom mobile and her primary concern is the interior. I cleaned the leather/vinyl with Woolite HE diluted 20:1 with water, carpets with BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner. Leather dressed with Leather Master's Leather Vital and vinyl with Optimum Protectant Plus. Tires/fenderwells dressed with Armor All.

Wow. So this new ONR is really true then? The Scott man used Armor All . . . . how does that stuff work on tires?

I still have yet to try that woolite thing to clean leather. WIll need to look into that. Nice work!

Scott, it looks great!!

What are the differences, if any, that you noticed between the "old" and "new" ONR?

If I was stoked on the "old-n-r" I'm doing a backflip at my seay over the new!

Nice work Scott. I love working on Escalades. They're big, but easy to work on b/c of it. Plus they look AWESOME when you're done!!!

1. Slicker

2. More gloss and wetness left behind

3. Different smell (cherry to me)

Can't wait to try it out. I'll be due for a new gallon very soon. I did an Escalade just like that, same color and all, last year and see it ~3 months. They are rather easy to work on.

Scott, the vehicle looks great. I'm sure I'll add the new ONR to my kit once I've used up my remaining product...which I've always been 100% pleased with.

Thanks for the post!

Looks swanky, Scott! Can't wait to try the new ONR... Got a release date yet?

Autogeek already has it. I've been keeping quiet about it because I hadn't heard a definite release date.

Wow, if the new ONR can make a black Escalade that was really dirty turn out that well, I just may have to give it a try. Does the new ONR reccomend any different amounts of product to be used during washes comapred to the previous stuff?

Pity, I`ve just bought another gallon of the `old ONR`

It`ll not come in wrong though.
