This car was new last year, not much milage, driven mostly around town, to the city, etc. Never been clayed, polished or hand waxed before and taken to Fullers for washes approximately 4-5 times last year.

Floormats were cleaned with a diluted solution of Meguiars APC and then actually cleaned with the PC. Treated with Scotch Guard after all dried to protect mats.

The car had random scratches in a bunch of panels, some deep, some not. My guess is that these could be cause by nothing more than day-to-day use.

This scratch on the driver's door was caused by a shelf falling on to it:

I used Meguiars Gold wash, #80 on the whole car and went through the SSR steps, down from 3 to 1 on the scratch on the drivers door, as it was deeper. This car was done with a Makita rotary, and finished with P21S.

I'll admit, people were looking at me strangely as it was 30 degrees outside and I'm out there washing the car :nixweiss

I'm going to be detailing my brother-in-laws 2006 Civic in the exact same color as well. Did you notice if the paint was hard or soft because I know he also has a few isolated small scratches here and there. Great job:goodjob

The paint was pretty soft. I was worried that I was going to have to try various products in order to not only acheive what I wanted but also to remove the deeper scratches. It was easier than I anticipated in scratch removal. Depending on how deep your scratches will be, the Meguiars products did the job here....
