2005 Porsche Carrera GT - Paint to Sample Gulf Blue

Stunning. Your posts always leave me amazed. I just finished grad school, and I think rather than trying to get as good as you are, I'll focus on being able to afford your work one day. :D

Awesome write up and detailing but............. fuuuuuuuuugly color - That color is best on an Easter egg, sorry fellas.

Clearly a matter of opinion.

In this case, it is one with which I completely agree. Nasty color.

Damn nice car, and incredible work though! :xyxthumbs

You just can't get enough of these GT's!

This past weekend, we (Porsche Club Zone 1) had our "Tech Tactics" at FarnbacherLoles in Danbury. Wouldn't you know? They had a silver GT on the lift.

To see one from the underside is also fantastic! The whole underside is covered! Front to back!

OK, so not too many may like the color, but for us Porsche nuts, it's just beautiful!

You did one hell of a job not only detailing this car but your attention to detail in sharing it with us was just out of this world!:bow

Great job and hope you get many more!

Saw this car the other day for sale. It was at Euro Motorsports on Broward. In good company next to quite a few exotics including an all white Veyron.

Happy to report that not only did this car sell for a world record price then, it just buried the record selling for $6,715,000

Thanks for the update on this one-of-a-kind Porsche GT. Reviewing your initial post from "way back" on the late 2000's was most interesting, despite the garbled quotation marks and Photo Bucket watermarks on the photos, it is a great write up. It is truly an ultimate detail done by you as an Autopia All-star.
What made this write up "interesting"is how much of what products and equipment you used is still relevant today, or at least it is to me. Would you do it differently today if you had the opportunity to detail this same Porsche today? Probably. It would be even more interesting to get your thoughts on that subject today, but it is a moot issue and just wishful thinking on my part to even ask you about the detailing of such a vehicle that, in all likelihood, will never happen.
