2004 Mitsubishi Galant (56k beware)

Well I finally got a chance to detail my own car for the first time with the PC. The swirls didn't appear to be that deep so I thought I'd be able to get them out without any issues. I made several passes with SSR 2.5, which helped a little, but still didn't knock them out. Tried SSR 1 on a few spots just to see if that helped, which didn't really. So, I've got some more toying to do to figure this out.

Sorry for the crappy pics, the sun was going down and I didn't have much time. Try to get some full sun shots tomorrow. Also, feel free to throw out some suggestions on tackling my swirls. When I started I misted the pad with FK #425 and placed an X on the pad, then after the initial "prime" I used four dime-sized dots of polish starting at 3 to spread it around then bumped it up to 5-6 adding some pressure and moving about an inch per second.

Process:

Wash with NXT

Clay with Clay Magic

SSR2.5 via Green Propel 2 ( wasn't enough)

SSR2.5 via Orange x2

AIO

PB EX-P

Tires were dressed with EO Tire Shine

Glass received NXT Glass Cleaner

BEFORE: (very few)

LESSONS LEARNED

I need a garage!! Also that I obviously have more to learn using the PC and polishes breaking down, as well as improving my camera shots. Lastly, SSR polishes dust way too much for me...think i'm going to make the switch to Optimum. Used my mom's camera so I didn't know the settings, etc. Some of the pictures turned out darker for some reason.

The shine definitely improved! :)

Not unusual that your first PC detail didn't get all the swirls out, just takes some time to get the technique, polish and pad selection sorted out to get the best results on your paint.

Got a chance to snap a few sun pics today, in the sun...it appears to be better than it was previously, however...at night under various lights it doesn't look like it improved at all. Does PB EX-P contain any fillers?
