Autopia.org Sponsor FAQ
The following list of frequently asked questions (FAQ) was created to help answer sponsor questions regarding sponsorship and commercial involvement in the Autopia.org community.
Q1. Are sponsors permitted to interact with
the community?
A1. Yes. Everyone who follows our community rules is allowed to
post and interact. Our rules specifically prohibit vendors (sponsor and
non-sponsors) from engaging in discussions about products they represent.
Q2. Are there any facilities for vendors and
manufacturers to interact with the community regarding products?
A2. Yes, we offer two opportunities. First, we provide the "Ask the
Manufacturer" forum, which is a facility for manufacturers and brands to provide
information and answer community questions. Vendors and manufacturers who
would like to have a much closer relationship with members may sponsor a private
forum area.
Q3. I am philosophically opposed to paying
to provide support for my products on the internet. Why do we have to pay
to provide this service?
A3. It is necessary to have one set of guidelines for all commercial
activity (advertising). Commercialism (even in the form of "technical
support") distorts objectivity and influences buying habits. We
respectfully request that all commercialism be limited to paid advertising and
areas designated as "commercial."
Q4. Is there a contract or minimum duration
for sponsorship?
A4. It depends on the service. Our basic advertising is a "cost per
day" or "cost per click" model. Each of these advertising services has a
minimum deposit requirement. The advertiser is required to keep funds on
their account to keep their advertisement in play. Other services are
available by annual subscription. These include Autopia Review brand
accounts (to maintain product brand pages for review), private forums and other
future services.
Q5. Does advertising on Autopia.org work?
A5. Yes, Autopia.org members support sponsors and businesses heavily
involved with detailing enthusiasts. Autopia.org members are very
influential in the buying decisions of car enthusiasts across the internet.
