I've got a white Chevy Trailblazer coming in for a detail this weekend. I find it kinda hard to work on white (and kinda boring) as its hard to see defects. Anybody have any tips for really making white look good?

Whenever I polish, I try to do IPA wipedowns between steps to get a clean surface to work on. My issue is that whenever I do this, it doesnt really seem to clean the service, it just seems to smear everything. The only way to get a clean surface is to wipedown with ONR. Am I doing something...
