Yesterday I had rubbed my hand over a couple of spots on the truck and it felt bumpy.I know that most likely its stuff I missed before I Zed the paint you can`t see just feel it.How bad would this be if I waited till spring to redo these areas?I do not want to do any long term damage but would prefer to wait and do the whole truck in the spring.Comments on contaminants please

No need to wait till next spring. Just spot clay the areas on your car that need it. It`s OK to clay right over Z as light claying will not remove it. If weather permits, just apply Z again on the areas you clayed. If not, no big deal as the Z will still pretty much be intact.

On second thought, if you Z`d over very bumpy areas on your car, claying those bumpy areas will probably remove a good portion of the Z. So I`d definitely reapply Z on clayed areas.

It isn`t "bad" to leave the bumpy areas there till next spring, but the thought of embedded contaminants in my clearcoat slowly rusting away is enough to keep me up all night!
