    Cquartz Question(issue)

    Hey fellas.

    Just finished prepping my car for coating this weekend. Decided to give OG Cquartz a shot.

    Straight out of a new, unopened, bottle I noticed tiny (what I can assume were) crystals on my applicator... is this normal? I tried applying it in an inconspicuous spot and it didn`t seem to spread very well at all and looked a little streaky. Just didn`t seem right to me.

    The only other coating I have experience with is Exo V2. I find that to be a breeze to apply and a little spreads a long way. I ended up just using this on the car as it`s all I had on hand and didn`t want to leave the car unprotected.

    Anyone else ever experience this? I`m fairly certain I wasn`t imagining this either. Lol.

    I wouldn`t use it on the car. You shouldn`t notice any crystals from a new bottle.

    Ya, I didn`t think so. I just tried putting a couple more drops on an applicator and noticed a few reflective specks.

    Also held the bottle under direct light and saw some particles floating around. I`m assuming it should be completely clear.

    Glad I decided against using it.

    Thanks!

    It sounds like the bottle has expired. I think they`re only good for 6 months?

    Re: Cquartz Question(issue)

    Supplier replaced it no questions asked. Definitely something wrong with it.

    Was not an old batch however...

    Ended up getting another vial of Exo V2 to layer up because I don`t feel like trying to strip the existing layer at this moment.

    Thanks for the input everyone.

    Likely the bottle seal just failed...or wasn`t 100% sealed to begin with. I imagine it doesn`t take much air interaction to start the crystallization process.

    I`ve seen "CQuartz", "CQuartz Finest", and CQuartz Ceramic Quartz". Are they all the same product? If not differences?

    CQuartz = CQuartz Ceramic Quartz
    This is the original formula and last 2 years.

    CQuartz Finest
    This is the Pro only version and requires heat lamps to cure and comes with a 2 year warranty.

    CQUK = CQuartz UK
    This is a newer version of CQuartz and last approx. 2+ years and is easier to apply in colder conditions.
