    Opti Coat??

Brought the family a newer car over the weekend, 2012 KIA Ompita...I`m going to wash and clay..then use a rotary wool pad and foam cutting pad with Presta polishes two step to get the paint leveled. Then polish with the PC using PB P-W-C and PB black hole glaze..

Then I`m up for suggestions on the LSP..normally I would use PB EXP but was thinking of trying the Opti Coat for a change..Thoughts?

Nice looking car. You sure you don`t mean Opti-Seal? Give it a shot, it will only take you 10 minutes to see if you like it. It supposed to migrate under wax but not sure how it will play with a glaze.

Optiseal is nice, the BF crystal seal is nicer and more of a "nuba" look after cure

OS is super easy to use. Ultima is pretty easy too. I like either after a decent polymer sealant base.

And it goes without saying, that if you did indeed opti-coat the car, you would not have to do anything to the paint for years...
And it would stay cleaner longer...way easier to wash...

OC is quite good, especially for a daily driver. I think the key to success is to use Optimum Polishes for prep and don`t skimp on application of the OC. You don`t want to be the guy who says "I only used 3ccs to coat my whole car" - no good. I also found the Optimum Dual applicator to be quite good - and you use less OC without trying.

I would not use the black hole if you plan on using any kind of coating.

If you plan on putting all that time into a correction I cannot see not protecting it for the longer term with a coating. Opti-Coat and EXO are 2 I am familiar with and they are both excellent IMHO.

While I know it was meant to be Opti-Seal I personally like Opti-Coat and the new Pinnacle Black Label 850 Diamond Coating

    Re: Opti Coat??

Yes I`m a believer in OC also has served me well on my outside 24/7 truck. I have two new cars that I want to coat with something but not OC. One is pearl white and the other is charcoal grey they are garaged so I want more of a wetter look. Need to give the Black Label a shot some day but the cost of admission has stopped me.
