Since the first public test we have had several significant break throughs in our base sealant technology from Polycharger. As a result of these advancements, all Ultima sealants offer 100% wipe-on, walk-away application. Each sealant in the Phase I release dries to the touch in 15 minutes or less and can be layered for additional protection and appearance.
All products in the Phase I release are now final. Manufacturing, packaging and delivery to resellers is expect to be mid-April based on the current print material schedule. The following descriptions will give you a brief overview of each product. Ultima Tire & Trim Plus – This sealant can be applied to any black rubber, vinyl, textured ABS plastic, cast aluminum and stainless steel. When dry, it creates a dark, natural-looking sheen that will not wash off, streak or smear. It dries to the touch in 15 minutes. Additional coats can be applied to increase gloss and improve durability (length of protection). The sealant does not attract dust and will not sling off. No other automotive protectant or dressing protects as well, dries completely to the touch, or lasts as long. It is truly unique. Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel – This all-surface interior gel shampoo safely and gently cleans leather, vinyl, plastic, fabric and carpet. Simply spray on and agitate with the Ultima Dual-Purpose Interior Sponge or a interior scrub brush, then wipe away the dirt and grime with a clean towel. Rinsing is not necessary and the cleaning solution dries completely in minutes. For heavy stains on fabric and carpet, pre-treat with a spot remover. Ultima Leather & Vinyl Plus – This sealant has a pleasant leather fragrance and can be applied to all interior vinyl and coated leather finishes, wood trim, aluminum trim, paint and clear plastic. This automotive interior sealant has the tactile effect of softening all leather and vinyl finishes, making them feel like fine cashmere. When dry, leather and vinyl take on a slight sheen that is perfectly even and natural-looking. The leather fragrance offers a hint of new leather, but is not over powering. When dry, the sealant effectively resists the negative effects of moisture, salt, body lotions, oil, and proteins. Ultima Paint Guard Plus – This sealant can be applied to all exterior paint, gel coat, glass, chrome, polished aluminum, and clear plastic finishes. When applied to a clean, dry and properly prepared finish, this sealant will cure (dry) 100% clear and requires little or no final buffing. The sealant dries to the touch in 15 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours. A second coat may be applied in 3-4 hours, improving durability, slickness and gloss. Final gloss and slickness is not achieved for 24 hours (the cure period). This product is applied so thin that it requires only a quarter ounce to coat a full-size car, truck or SUV. Ultima Paint Prep Plus – This pre-sealant treatment cleans, lightly polishes and conditions paint, correctly preparing it for Ultima Paint Guard Plus. The ultra-fine polish gently removes fine swirl marks and reduces the appearance of light scratches, while the trade secret Polycharger polymer accelerant primes the surface for a durable bond with Ultima Paint Guard Plus. No other “pre-wax” treatment applies as easily by hand or machine. Ultima Paint Guard Wash – This hyper-concentrated car wash soap is a neutral cleaning shampoo for all exterior surfaces. Ultima Paint Guard Wash effectively cleans all surfaces treated with Ultima Paint Guard Plus and Ultima Tire & Trim Plus without reducing sheen, slickness or protection. Ultima Paint Guard Wash is phosphate-free, detergent-free, and alkaline-free cleaner that will out suds any other product on the market, yet it is free-rinsing and requires minimal rinse water. The fresh fragrance is familiar a clean. Ultima Detail Spray Plus – This spray-and-wipe detailer works in conjunction with the Ultima Buffing Towel to clean and shine your car between washes. It quickly and easily removes light dust, finger prints, water spots, insects and bird droppings. Ultima Detail Spray Plus wipes of quick and clean. Ultima Elastrofoam™ Paint Cleaning System – This cleaning tool replaces the function of automotive detailing clay and overcomes all of its detriments. The Ultima Elastrofoam Paint Cleaning System effectively and safely removes all manner of paint contamination, including oxidation, surface rust, rail dust, factory fallout, mineral deposits, tar, insect remains, road grime and more. The Ultima Elastrofoam Paint Cleaning System consists of an Elastrofoam Block and Elastrofoam Gel Lubricant. To use, you simply apply the Elastrofoam Gel Lubricant to the Elastrofoam Block and rub over a freshly wash finish. To remove contamination from the Elastrofoam Block you rinse it in fresh water and squeeze dry. Each Elastrofoam Block is equivalent to 400 grams of fine detailing clay and will clean 25 to 30 cars. The Ultima Elastrofoam Block is not ruined if dropped and does not require a special storage container. The secret to the Ultima Elastrofoam Paint Cleaning System is the heavy layer of elastic rubber bonded to a foam block using in conjunction with our pH neutral lubricating foam. Used together, the system works like a non-abrasive rubber erasure that quickly and easily rubs away paint contamination and restores a bright, clean and slick finish.

I thought you mentioned that the trim and tire sealant were going to be two separate products. Have they morphed back into the same product?
Will the Ultima Paint Prep Plus be a required step before using the Ultima Paint Guard Plus? Is the Ultima Paint Guard Plus the same product as the RDF sealant that the beta testers used?
Finally, is the spray sealant going to be released in phase II or has it been dropped from the lineup?
BTW, I hope the wipe on/walk away aspect of the UPGP is not a response to Zaino Z-CS. I thoroughly enjoyed the beta version of RDF and would hate to see the results (appearance and slickness) hampered simply because of a case of trying to "keep up with the Joneses."

Will the Ultima line be part of the Sonus line or an entirely separate venture?
When will it be available for ordering?

It is an essential component of the system because it properly cleans the surface for proper bonding of the sealant. Quote: |

I started testing our spray as a wipe/spray on, walk away prior to the beta release. We could not make it a spray-on, walk away because it wasn't possible to get an even spray without using an aerosol. We opted for a wipe-on solution instead. Quote: |

The answer is no. The final development and solution to Paint Guard Plus came when we solved the formula problems with Tire & Trim. Once we found the secret to making Tire & Trim dry 100%, retain gloss and not streak, we knew what needed to be done to fix durability, gloss and slickness in our spray sealant. What we didn't expect is that the final results would out perform the original RDF sealant.

Ultima and Sonus are in NO WAY related. Sonus packages products from around the world from more than 15 manufacturers. Ultima has a single development team and all products are made in one location.
Ultima is a fine finish care brand that will offer environmentally friendly and non-toxic cleaners and sealants to maintain fine finishes. Automobile finishes are just one environment for which we are developing products.
In fact, we are investing as much resource in home finish care as we are automotive. We will have a full range of protective products for the home.

Will the application be through a spray bottle (those nice mist spray bottles)? Which product in the Ultima line is analogous to the RDF paint sealant that was beta tested then? I liked the RDF paint sealant that was sent out for beta testing. It applied easily and removal was a breeze; I enjoyed the slickness it left behind.

It applied easily and removal was a breeze; I enjoyed the slickness it left behind. | It will be in a spray bottle with the micro-mist sprayer, however, application is to spray an applicator, not the car. One spray on the applicator is enough to cover 3-4 square feet.
As far as slickness goes, this product dries/cures to a greater slickness that the RDF beta sealant. Durability is the same or better, and after multiple washes with Ultima Wash, loss of slickness is nil. Combine these features with wipe-on, walk-away application, and we belive we have a winner.
A 12 oz. bottle will be enough product to apply between 50 and 60 coats to an average size car. Application is so fast and easy, I believe most car enthusiasts will be inclined to apply the product monthly or better.
We treated half a bedliner on a work truck with this product back in December and it's still dark, glossy and beads water like a son-of-a-gun. It gets wash weekly with Dawn. This is the toughest clear sealant technology I am aware of.
We have been running an anti-oxidation test since last November. We took a foot long piece of iron pipe, treated half, then put it out in the swamp air in Florida. The untreated side is completely rusted over and flaking off. The treated side has several very small areas of rust but mostly retains a dark, glossy new iron pipe look.
As part of the product launch, I will give away 20 complete sets of product. Each kit will be worth over $250... you do the math!
This product line works and I'm willing to put it side-by-side with anything available today. The product will be better, the packaging will be better and the literature will be superior. Everything has been designed from the ground up to work together.
The Ultima product line is abandoning creams and pastes completely. They are outdated delivery mechanisms. The goal of each Ultima product is to cut application time/effort in half, as compared to typical products, reduce or eliminate VOCs completely, and eliminate the need for harsh cleaners. So far we have succeeded in every single category.
