Swirls on vinyl decals?

Hey folks... Been an observer here for a while, but haven't posted until now.



I've got a 2003 Mach 1, and have noticed some swirls in the hood stripe. What can I use to get rid of those swirl marks? I polished them out of the paint, but was afraid to use the polish on the decals.

A friend of mine has a black Mach 1 too. The decals should have been in a contrasting color, IMHO. (His was the one in MM&FF with the Vortech blower running 11:92)



I hate to say it, but I don;t know of a way to get rid of swirls on matte colored decals. Anything that you would use to cover them would cause a shine....anything abrasive would probably ruin them.
