LAKE COUNTRY USERS: With what pad do you use what????

I still find difficulty in determining pad manufacturer with regard to cut & pad color.

In order to better organize some of this information, perhaps we can have a thread for Edge, Lake Country, Meguiars, etc.

Here are Edge pads: EDGE USERS: With what pad do you use what???

Here are Meguiars pads: MEGUIARS PAD USERS: With what pad do you use what?

So here goes...

For Lake Country users, what pad do you use most often with what product to solve a particular problem?

jeez 128 views and not a single response??
I like to use an orange pad with XMT3 followed with Klasse AIO on a white pad. Then i will either apply Pinnacle Liquid Souveran with a blue pad or Klasse SG with Grey pad.

Re: LAKE COUNTRY USERS: With what pad do you use what????

The problem with answering this is: It depends. Paint hardness, defect depth, etc.

I typically start with a polishing pad (doesn't matter which brand) and a light polish and move up as needed.

Re: LAKE COUNTRY USERS: With what pad do you use what????

On Meg's

Cutting Pad #7006, I use it for Compounds

Polishing Pad #8006, I use this one for polishing or remove lite swirls & etc.

Finishing Pad #9006 I haven't use this one, but its soft and I need to find a good product for this one.

Meguiar's Has lots of good Compounds and Polishes , You just have to find which one works for you. Just take your time

One thing on the #7006 cutting pad, BE VERY careful it can BURN your paint off. Stay away from the edges.

For defect removal, I'll use either LC white (heavy) or yellow wool pads. I never have the need to use both on one application. One just cuts a little less. Then I go to foams pads for finishing.
