I have the UDM now, I have no use for it. I will even throw in a 2 and 3/4 inch backing plate to boot!

Hey $99 is a great deal. Anyone who wants that deal better hurry. New PCs will be a thing of the past very soon.

JEEEEEZZZ! You guys are tuff, but it's gonna take more than this little site to affect PC....

Re: Porter Cable for $99.00!

Ah... has nothing to do with this site or the UDM.

Go see if you can find a PC at Home Depot or Loews. The answer is NO! A couple weeks ago those were the two big retailers.

The word on the street is the PC product is being discontinued by Black & Decker.

Re: Porter Cable for $99.00!

PC's are out there cheap if you dont mind used. Hit the woodworking sites and shops. I thought Id have to buy new but ended up with one used AFTER I ordered a new one but for $50, I figured having two couldnt be all that bad.

I will say, though. I used the PC on a whole car for the first time today and the vibration is a bit annoying after one pass around the car. Who knows. Once they get the power button issue on the UDM worked out, I'll end up with a couple of those, too.

Nice price. The manager at our local Loews dumped his inventory for $70.

Re: Porter Cable for $99.00!

Hopefully someone else picks up the PC or something! Otherwise if mine ever breaks down I will have to get the Griots polisher. No way I'm getting a UDM thats for sure...may have to pick up a spare soon to be safe.

Re: Porter Cable for $99.00!

Big: Coastal Tool is a reputable and well-known re-seller of the PC. Have no concerns.
