Anyone have nay tips dor the lower body panels on a 90's Mercedes 190 or W124? These seem to be painted in a metallic basecoat and I'm not sure if there is a clearcoat on the top. If there is, it seems matt and Im not sure how to tackle it... I usually just clay it and apply wax to it.

*Anyhow*, my 560 SEC had that sort of stuff along the bottoms and I just treated it like regular paint, but I was always pretty gentle with it. It never did shine up all that great, like it's supposed to be a satin-type finish. So don't work it to death trying to get it to polish up like the paint on the upper 2/3 of the car lest you take off too much. But you *can* get it "satin" as oppesed to "matte".
