Ferrari 360 Rosso Corsa

This car belongs to an absolute gentleman. Ferrari's are nice cars to work with, but it still takes a cool and appericative owner to make a good detail, and Paul was great guy. The interior and engine where in good shape and just got wiped down (I will do a full interior detail/leather treatment next time).

This Ferrari had some marring on the paint and some scratch marks from a body shop who wetsanded some love bug marring. Over all it was immaculate though and didn't need to be washed. I started by wiping done with Meg's Last Touch...

General Process/Products

Wiped with Meg's Last Touch
Stoner's IG on glass
Zaino ZAIO on rims, glass, trim
Meg's Hotshine on tires
Meg's NXT All Metal Polysh on exhaust
Meg's Hyperdressing 3:1 on engine

Paint Correction/LSP

2-4x Menznera IP @ 1500-1200 rpm, Meg's polishing pad
1-2x Menzerna FPII @ 1200-1000 rpm, Meg's polshing pad
Zaino Z-PC Fusion @ 800 rpm, Meg's finshing pad
Z5pro X 2 (ZFX'ed), wiped with Z6 between coats
Zaino Clear Seal
Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale

Its hard for me to capure the defects in red paint when outside light is present, but I did my best. Here is a half and half after one pass of IP.

Here is the passanger side quater panel under the halogens...

After two passes of IP and one pass of FPII

Here is a section of the driver's side quater panel (right behind the door).

After one pass of IP, you can see how much cleaner the paint is. However there is one slightly deeper scratch comming from the right light. The second picture is after a second pass of the IP. (95 percent of the car was compounded using IP for 2 passes, only some rougher areas required up to 4 passes).

A working picture of me refining the finshing using Zaino Z-PC on the rotary (the reflection in the mirror makes it look like I'm smoking a cigarette).

Tires and Rim's dress, Zaino Z5 going on

Some pictures from inside after the final wipe with Z-8

The white Ferrari in the reflection is my next project (I believe). It will need a lot of TLC, so if that works out expect a long (and maybe boring) post.

The engine was pretty clean so I wiped it down and dressed with Meg's Hyperdressing. I had the camera on auto at this point, hence the crappy quality of the pics.

Tubi Exhaust!

Re: Ferrari 360 Rosso Corsa

Some outside after photo's. (I left my camera on tugsten lighting for a couple of them) so it gave a wierd exposure to a couple (like a greyish pink tint).

Now I realized my camera was on tugsten lighting so I switched to sun light. Notice how much more red the car is! Oh well, I'll just have reshoot the Ferrari when I'm there next.

Comming soon???!!!

Re: Ferrari 360 Rosso Corsa

Sorry about the lack of pure sun shoots but I still had Maserati to do and it was getting later so I had to rush. I'll post the Maserati in a little.

Re: Ferrari 360 Rosso Corsa

WOW! Excellent job Todd! I need to change my clientel. I want to start working on exotics with my skill. I am glad to see you working on Ferraris and that is where the money and fun is. I wish there were more exotics like this in Mass.

Great job as always and you are an exotic pro!

Sweet car; sweet work! Menzerna and Zaino. I don't think it gets much better on red. I have that shirt too btw.
