Beat-Up BMW Z3 *56k No*

Well the pictures don't show it too much but this thing was pretty beat up in certain spots. Forest Green BMW Z3.

Before some splatter.

These water spots were pretty deeply etched all over the car. It lives outside.

Nasty Wheels.

So onto the process I started off with some 106ff and a LCC Orange pad on the rotary at 1500 rpms.
This didn't really touch it so I started with the LCC Yellow pad and tried something interesting I put some Optimum Hyper Compound on the pad then some 3m Perfect-it 3000 rubbing compound on top of that on the pad. This helped with the 3m's heavy dusting and cut very nicely as well. This took out 90% of the defects alot of deep scratches on the hood the owner didn't car about wet sanding so I left some of those.

After that I used Orange LCC and 106ff to finish the surface off nicely for some Werkstatt Acrylic.

Did the interior and let the sealant cure for a good hour or so ( I don't believe in the 24h curing thing for all sealants)
Then applied some Zymol Carbon by hand on top just to add that depth and extra gloss/wetness.

Here are the results.

Looks great man nice job

The owner should invest in some new BMW stickers on his wheel... it's amazing how the little details can really add or detract from a car.

How do you like the Carbon? I was thinking of getting the Titanium.

Maybe if I find $100 bucks on the ground, I will pick up the Ital.

From what I have seen the Carbon gives off a glossier deeper look. I have both the Carbon and the Titanium on my goat on top of some werkstat right now. It being yellow makes it harder to tell slight differences but the gloss looks less apparent with the titatium. Two I would recommend are the carbon and the concours. I have not used it as of yet myself but if you want cheaper than the concours two good options are Swissol Onyx $79 or Zymol Glasur $97. The Glasur will give a glossier look but will probably need a wipedown after several hours with a quick detailer/zymol field glaze as it will "hologram" a little. Onyx is close in looks but not at deep or glossy.

Re: Beat-Up BMW Z3 *56k No*

Yeah I may have to pick up some of the Carbon or Titanium. I have a black car so the glossiness should show more with Carbon. And plus, I use Jeff Werkstatt's line up also. So that's a plus!

Re: Beat-Up BMW Z3 *56k No*

If you don't have any I'd look into the Swissol as well. They also have awsome products.
