Re: Swissol Concorso on solid black 350Z + red F430 (no 56K)

I always found most Swissol products to look and mimic Zymols products, even in color and smell. Remember the owner of Swissol use to be a distributor of Zymol products. Seems Zymol did not like this also and took legal action.

Swissol started making waxes back in the 1920s. Zymol was founded in the 1980s, so all the legal issues aside, if anything Zymol products are similar to Swissol's

i think i read somewhere Swissol sold their formula to Zymol, something like that

350z best black ihave ever seen iused zymol concourse but i think swissol is better

than zymol ..... how you can apply swissol concourse by foam applicatior ...its wax very soft .... if you have zymol you can do that .

yes same my proplem with p21 ..implify the small orang peel and i think is not very frindly wax in paint.

Just amazing! The paint on both looks very liquid but especially on the Z.

I may have to add another high end wax to go along with Souveran since I have a few customers willing to pay an upcharge for high end carnaubas.

swissol say to use your hands but thats a bit too ott for me. I used a foam applictaor, actually the foam applicator off a new P21S tub, and it went off smooth enough

Thumbs down Re: Swissol Concorso on solid black 350Z + red F430 (no 56K)

my mate today prep'd our metallic black 996 TT S, and then we applied two layers of Z2-Pro

wheeled the car out and remembered why i liked Zaino so much - clarity is off the charts

decided to layer Z2-Pro because it is one of the daily drivers, and wanted max durability under the carnauba LSP

ill be applying the Swissol Concorso next wash, these pics will make for a great comparo to see what the Concorso does with the clarity of reflections. Looking at my 350Z and the Porsche back to back today it is very evident the Z2-Pro lacks the wetness of the Concorso. Its a very different look imo, the Z2-Pro in comparison looks a little cold, a bit too clinical, whereas the Concorso looks warms - if that makes sense. Speaking of the Concorso, my 350z doesnt get as dusty anymore, had it parked outside all day sunday and been driving it all week and its still clean, i cant believe it - does carnauba have some sort of anti-static properties?

this is my mate's handy work straight off the buff - no wax!

after Z2-Pro + OCW on wheels (worked so well my OCW has assumed the role of wheel detailer)

Re: Swissol Concorso on solid black 350Z + red F430 (no 56K)

very nice work in 996 and ithink when you waxing aftar wash become more depth more refliction like 350z .

did you use swissol mild cleaning by hand ?

do think swissol strong clean leave any hazing and must goint to more light cleaning like mild +prewax

Re: Swissol Concorso on solid black 350Z + red F430 (no 56K)

the 996 hasnt had any swissol at all

my mate used Menzerna FF on a green pad, then switched to a white pad to finish

gave it a quick wash with MF clothes and layered 2 coats Z2-Pro

i will just apply the Concorso over the top next wash, i wont use the Swissol cleaner - not the best process for this wax, but on this car id prefer more Zaino on the paint for max protection than a carnauba

yeah you do need to step down the Swissol cleaners. The medium and strong contain abbrassives, and should be applied with an RO at least. The light contains no abbrassives, just chemical cleaner, so its a wipe on/wipe off product by hand

i probably wouldnt use the strong, there are better abbrassive polishes out there, Menzerna's range for one

Re: Swissol Concorso on solid black 350Z + red F430 (no 56K)

i dont think it would work as good as using an RO

its feels a bit grippy, might be alot of hard work and tiring to do by hand

in fact it looks very similar to Menzerna Final Finish, same color and texture, but tends to smear across the panel rather than buff away cleanly

you would only use the swissol medium cleaner if you have light swirl marks. I dont see the point of using it though to remove swirls, just use a much cheaper abbrassive polish instead. Then use the swissol light fluid cleaner and apply the wax. Much easier imo

re wash, i use either the Zaino wash or Meguairs soft wash - whichever i reach for in the cupboard

we have very strict water restrictions in Aus now, soon we wont be able to use a home high pressure washer, only use water to clean the windscreen. So ill have to start using the Quick and Easy water saving wash, or go to the local machine car wash at night and wash the car using their recycled water

The Z2P Porsche looks soulless next to the Concorso Z.
