Removing hard water stains on clearcoat rims?

Hi all,

I have these frustrating white stains on my mags that will not come off with a regular wash...
Any ideas on how i can remove them?

My mags are the VW passat GLX ones
If you closely at the picture, you will see the streaks

Thx
John

Yeah , I have even tried scratchX and it doesn't come off unless i didn't do it properly.

The stains are like blotchs of streaking water like as if i didn't dry them after the car wash.

Any thing else I can try?

Re: Removing hard water stains on clearcoat rims?

The finish on my wheels are the same as yours (Jetta Longbeaches) and I've had the same problem before. I have a cordless drill with a buffer attachment that I use to go over the wheels with a light polish that takes almost any imperfections out. Then I apply a wax to keep them protected. I haven't had the problem since.

You can use the same products you use on the rest of your car.
