ONR Okay during Water Restrictions?

There's mandatory water restrictions here in South Florida and I'm supposed to be able to wash my car on Wed. or Sat. between 4am and 8am

Does washing with ONR fall into that time frame? Since I'm not using as much water as a regular hose wash, can I was any day/time?

How are you pros affected by the water restrictions?

Re: ONR Okay during Water Restrictions?

You should be able to wash at anytime with ONR ...just don't make it super obvious.

Re: ONR Okay during Water Restrictions?

Yes that is one of the reasons it is so good
if you are really worred about it grab a few gallons of water from walmart
then no one can say anything!

also buy some extra ONR to sell

Re: ONR Okay during Water Restrictions?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if it is possible for you to wash your car using ONR within the timeframe given or are you asking if it's ok to wash your car with ONR at that time of the day?

Either way, the answer is yes to all the above.

Re: ONR Okay during Water Restrictions?

I'm in GA and I think we are about to hit restrictions here also. Absolute worst case is that someone reports you and when the water police come over I think they would be amazed that you are washing your with about 3 gals of water. That's less than 3 toilet flushes!!! (assuming 1.3 gals/flush)

Neither. LOL. My apologies for the confusion. My main question is if ONR is exempt from these restrictions since it uses so little water.

I'd also like to hear if anyone has any actual proof or documentation that it is.

And I'm still curious how the tighter water restrictions affect the pros.

Thanks for all the responses so far.

I say wash your car whenever you feel like it. Worst case scenario, the water police show up and are amazed that you are only using 3 gallons of water to wash your vehicle and will spread the word around town about this wonderful new product and then it will become mandatory to only use ONR to wash your car which will result in significantly lower usage of one of our most precious natural resources, water.

You'll be the savior of the world!!!

Re: ONR Okay during Water Restrictions?

ONR uses a gallon or two of water, tops. As long as you aren't using a hose, you'll be fine.

Pull your car into your garage and wash it there with ONR, then no one will know.

Re: ONR Okay during Water Restrictions?

It's my understanding if you were to use bottled water then you can do what you want. The last bad restriction we had was no car washing at all. I washed cars though as water was essential for the operation of my mobile wash business.

I thought about that but my garage is not deep enough to provide space for me to get to the front and back of the car to wash. Still, I want to be a good citizen and comply with the law.

Re: ONR Okay during Water Restrictions?

Just leave the door open. Pull the car halfway in and work on the front. Then back it in and work on the rear. Even if someone was watching they would never suspect that you were washing the car in the garage.
