Someone sells a product that looks like the white protective film they put on new cars but it leaves a hard to remove residue.

For long trips I've gone to the local car dealership and taken some of that white vinyl, they let me take a ll I want as they trow it away anyway. I cut pieces and apply it to the car. It works great. It should work fine for your purpose also.

I use petroleum jelly and think it as good as
anything I have tried from the speed shop

p.s if you keep the petroleum jelly in the cooler
it will let you put on a nice thick coat
that you can hose off when you are done

Awesome.. Ill have to try some of these suggestions. I have heard of the seran wrap and petrojelly before.

Ive also heard of using aeresol crisco too. Soon as I get the 9" installed its time for slicks, few good burnouts, and front wheels up action.

Light coat of WD-40 will work as well.

I put the Overspray Guard on the areas I want to protect with a sponge. Just wash burnt rubber off. You can buy it in the gallon size if you call them. Works great.

A lot of drag racers use something like Pam. Spray it on before you do your first burnout, and then most of it will wipe right off.
